Frequently Asked Questions
What insurance do I need as an owner-operator in Illinois?
At minimum you need primary liability meeting FMCSA minimums ($750K for general freight, $1M for hazmat). If you have your own authority you'll also need MCS-90 filing, and you should strongly consider physical damage and cargo coverage.
Can you help with new authorities?
Yes — we work with markets that write new authorities. New ventures are harder to place but we know which carriers will consider them and what underwriting information you need to provide.
