Manufacturing Insurance Questions, Answered
How much does manufacturing insurance cost?
Premiums start at a $350 minimum but vary widely based on your revenue, class of business, building, payroll, and the coverages you select. Because pricing depends so much on the specifics of your operation, the most accurate way to get a number is a quote — we'll walk through your business and tell you exactly where you land.
What size manufacturing businesses can you insure?
This program covers businesses up to $25M in annual revenue. One exception: food and flavor manufacturers (baked goods, candy, extracts, syrups) are capped at $2M in revenue under this specific program.
Can I get general liability only, or do I need a full package?
Either. The program is built to flex from monoline general liability up to a full customizable commercial package, so you're not stuck buying more coverage than your operation needs.
Does this cover product liability for what I manufacture?
Yes. General liability coverage extends to products you manufacture, and the program also includes limited product withdrawal expense — coverage that helps with the cost of a recall if a covered product issue requires one.
Can I add excess or umbrella liability coverage?
Yes, excess coverage is available up to $5M on top of your primary liability limits — useful for manufacturers whose contracts or risk exposure call for higher limits than a standard policy provides.
What if my business doesn't fit one of your listed classes?
The four categories on this page are where we specialize, but our appetite covers 100+ manufacturing classes in total. Reach out and describe your operation — we'll quickly tell you if it's a fit.
