Tree Work, Chemical Application or Excavation? We Can Still Help.
Some landscaping businesses do more than mowing — tree removal, pesticide or herbicide application, grading, or large commercial and municipal grounds contracts. Those operations are underwritten differently than a weekly mowing route, which is why being an independent agency matters: if one carrier's program doesn't fit, we go to the next one in our lineup of 30+.

Landscaping Insurance FAQ
I only mow lawns. Do I need commercial insurance?
If you charge customers, yes. A homeowners or personal auto policy typically excludes business activity, which can leave your mowers, trailer and liability uninsured.
Are my mowers and trailer covered by my truck's policy?
Not usually. Auto covers the vehicle itself; mowers, attachments and tools are normally covered through equipment coverage (inland marine).
What if I apply fertilizer or pesticide?
Chemical application is often limited or excluded on standard policies. Tell us exactly what you apply so we can look for coverage that fits, including pollution liability.
Do I need workers' comp for seasonal helpers?
In most states, workers' comp is required once you have employees, even seasonal or part-time ones. It also protects you if a helper is hurt on the job.
Can I add snow plowing to my landscaping policy?
Sometimes. Carriers often underwrite plowing separately from landscaping, so we review both operations to fit them together or split them across carriers.
